Employee Management System

A full-stack app for managing users, departments and tasks, with three roles (Admin, Manager, Employee) that each see and do different things. I built the Spring Boot backend and the React + TypeScript frontend myself, then containerized it, set up CI/CD and deployed it.

A bit about me

I'm a backend developer based in Chicago. I like the part of software most people never see: how data is modeled, who's allowed to do what, and what happens when a request comes in that shouldn't. Most of my work is in Java and Spring Boot.

Before computer science I studied process operations and maintenance in Oman, then moved into software and finished my CS degree at Northeastern Illinois University. I still think like a maintenance person: I care about things running reliably, not just running.

What I'm working toward: a backend role on a team where I can keep growing, getting deeper with cloud (I'm studying for the AWS Developer Associate right now) and building systems that real people depend on.
